Catholic Education Melbourne provides consultancy support to schools to meet the educational and cultural needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Grants are available on an annual basis through an application process. Cultural and curriculum support is also available by contacting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Officer, Delsie Lillyst.

Services provided by Catholic Education Melbourne include: 

• cultural awareness training
• consultancy
• funding to primary schools to support literacy and numeracy outcomes
• funding to secondary schools for either school-based support or tutoring
• advice regarding appropriate resources including books, DVDs and relevant websites
• guidance in how to engage with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander groups
• valuable teaching resources and local information provided on the Yarra Healing website.
