College principal Filina Virgato was impressed by the artwork on the display. ‘This collection shows what happens when students are safe enough to take risks to express themselves’, she said. Faculty Head (Visual Arts) Joy Mackey attributed student visits to contemporary galleries for inspiring students to explore new media and create thought-provoking installations.
Artwork by year 12 students from the College will also appear in a pop-up exhibition at the Helen Macpherson space at the Monash University Museum of Art, Wednesday 18 October 5.30–7.00pm.
